Free Meal Distribution During Hybrid& Distance Learning (updated 03/22/2021)

The Rosemead School District Nutrition and Wellness Department staff is happy to begin safely welcoming our students back. We are committed to serving nutritious meals to our students during hybrid and distance learning. We will provide an opportunity for parents/guardians to drive through or walk up and pick up multiple days' worth of meals for students enrolled in the district and any children 18 years and younger.

The funding allows all children in our community 18 and under to receive a free breakfast and lunch. Additionally, students enrolled in the Rosemead School District ASES after school program are eligible to receive a free lunch and supper meal at no cost. These meals will be served and consumed on campus.

We are adjusting our pick up schedule to accommodate students returning to school. Effective Friday April 2, 2021 all school sites will distribute meals on Friday. Parents can pick up bulk meals during one of the time slots listed below. Meals distributed Friday will include a week's worth of breakfast and lunch. Since meals will not be served in a cafeteria setting, we encourage you to ensure students eat breakfast before reporting to school so that they are well nourished and ready to learn.

Friday at all elementary sites

7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

11:45 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Friday at Muscatel Middle School

7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

12:05 p.m. – 12:55 p.m.

Parents requiring meals for students who are not enrolled in Rosemead School District will complete a form when they pick up meals on Wednesday and Friday. The form is available at or you can scan the QR code on the right side of the banner above.

Students enrolled on Rosemead School District have been provided a card with a unique Student ID. Please place this on the dash board of your vehicle for drive through and present it for walk up service when picking up meals. If you did not receive a card or the card is lost or stolen, please contact Nutrition Services.

If your child currently receives a documented Special Diet Meal Accommodation through the School Nutrition Program, please let us know if your student will participate in the school meal pick-up during the distance learning period.

We look forward to serving our students and children in our community.
