LETTER TO HOUSEHOLDS

Free Meals Summer 2021

The Rosemead School District Nutrition and Wellness Department staff is happy to continue offering nutritious meals to children in our community from June 18 through July 30, 2021. No meals will be served on June 11, 2021. We are committed to serving nutritious meals to children in our community during the summer months. We will provide an opportunity for parents/guardians to drive through or walk up and pick up multiple days' worth of meals for students enrolled in the district and any children 18 years and younger.

Beginning Friday June 18, 2021, Rosemead School District will be providing meals free of charge to all children 18 years and younger at three locations listed below on Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on a pick up basis. One week worth of meals will be provided at a time( 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches). Some items provided will be ready to eat and others will be heat and serve. Please read the instructions provided carefully.

Friday at Encinita Elementary, Emma Shuey Elementary and Muscatel Middle School.

Meals maybe distributed to adults when children are not present if the adult is able to demonstrate proof of the child's identity. Acceptable forms of identification may include, school ID number, school report card, birth certificate or government- issued ID, or any document proving parent/ guardian identity and relationship to the child.

If your child currently receives a documented Special Diet Meal Accommodation through the School Nutrition Program, please let us know if your student will participate in the meal pick-up during summer.

  • ZERO artificial Trans Fats!

 

*All breakfast and lunch meals must be served with at least ½ cup fruit or vegetable.
